Drain Problems We Handle

Some of these are a straightforward repair. Some of them mean the unit is near the end. Here is what each one usually points to.

Clogged Kitchen Sink

Get a slow or blocked kitchen drain cleared so water can move normally again.

Blocked Bathroom Drain

Clear sinks, showers and tubs that are draining slowly or backing up.

Floor Drain Backup

Get help when basement or floor drains are backing up or refusing to drain.

Main Drain Problems

Recurring backups or multiple slow drains can point to a larger line problem.

Recurring Clogs

If the same drain keeps clogging, a quick unclog may not solve the underlying issue.

The Real Question

Why the same drain keeps blocking

Here is roughly how we look at it when we are standing in front of your unit.

Why the same drain keeps blocking

Most blocked drains have a cause sitting behind them. Grease that has hardened along the inside of the pipe. Tree roots that have found a crack in an older clay line, which is common in the established neighbourhoods of central Guelph, downtown Kitchener and the older parts of Galt and Preston. A section of pipe that has shifted or sagged so water pools instead of draining. A build up that never fully cleared because someone pushed a hole through it and called it done.
A drain product from the hardware store will sometimes open a small channel through soft blockage. It will not touch roots, it will not fix a sagging line, and repeated use is hard on older pipes. That is why the drain clears for a week and then goes again.
We clear the blockage properly using the right method for the pipe, then we put a camera down the line so you can see the actual condition of it. Sometimes the footage shows nothing more than normal build up and you can stop worrying about it. Sometimes it shows a root or a broken section, and then at least you know what you are dealing with and you can decide what to do next. Either way you are not guessing.

What We Handle

How we clear it

Drain snaking.

A cable is fed down the line to break through and pull out the blockage. Right choice for most single fixture clogs, hair, and soft build up.

The right cable for the line.

A kitchen branch line and a main sewer line need different equipment. Using the wrong one either fails to clear the blockage or risks the pipe, so we match the method to what we are working on.

Camera inspection.

A camera goes down the line so we can both see the condition of the pipe. This is how we know whether the problem is solved or whether something underneath needs attention.

Choosing a System

Free camera inspection with every drain cleaning

We clear your drain, then we show you what is actually going on inside the pipe. You see the footage yourself, we explain what it means in plain language, and you decide what happens next. There is no charge for the inspection when we do the drain cleaning.

The Offer

What a drain cleaning costs

The honest answer is that it depends on which drain, how far down the blockage sits, and what is causing it. A kitchen sink trap and a main line root problem are very different jobs and anyone quoting both at the same price over the phone has not looked at it.

What we can tell you is how it works. We come out, we look at it, and we give you a price for the job before we start. You approve that number or you do not. Nothing gets added to the bill afterwards without you knowing about it first.

Financing options available on replacement units, so you are not paying it all at once.

Questions People Ask

Questions people ask about blocked drains

Can you come out today?

Most days yes, across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph, and we take emergency calls around the clock. Call and we will tell you honestly what time we can be there.

Tell us when we arrive so we know what is sitting in the pipe. It is common, it is not a disaster, and it does not stop us clearing it.

Yes, when we do the drain cleaning. It is included, not an add on we quote you for afterwards.

It usually means the blockage is in the main line rather than one fixture, and it can back up into the house if it is left. Worth calling sooner rather than later.

For a normal blockage, no. Digging only comes into it when a pipe is broken or collapsed, and we would show you that on camera and talk it through before anything like that is discussed.

It is common across Waterloo Region and Guelph during spring melt and heavy storms. It can be the drain itself, the sewer line, or water volume overwhelming the system. The camera tells us which one it is.
